Interview with Tokio Hotel - Billboard.ru - Moscow, Russia [03.06.2011]

Tokio Hotel could beat each other up just for fun.

In the beginning of the summer Tokio Hotel visited Russia to take part in the Muz-TV Awards. As it turned out, the guys only support the German car industry and frequently think about a soundtrack for their funeral.

Billboard: Hi, guys! Today we will play in game-interview. The rules are: you drag a card in turn and ask the question who was sitting next to you.
Tom: I start!

Billboard: Ok. I remind that you need to question the person next to you.
Tom: Oh, next me! Ok.
Georg: This question is perfect for Bill.
Tom: What is the silly thing you did on the concert?
Bill: The silliest thing I did on the concert.
Tom: No, silly.
Bill: Yea. You know, there are kind of mistakes that are happening sometimes. So, it's like silly thing, you know we all fall together from the stage in… Where was it?
Georg: I think, it was in Russia, in Saint-Petersburg…
Tom: No, but it was in Russia.
Bill: It was in Russia somewhere.
Tom: Riga.
Georg: No, it's not Riga.
Bill: Whatever, somewhere. And the stage haven't broke down and we all were in the cadwork, it was kind of fanny. And Oh! The first show we had on our last tour in Luxemburg. Yes, how Luxemburg on English?
Georg: Luxemburg.
Bill: I was falling out of stage, the catwork was too short, I thought it's longer.
Tom: But Bill is himself this silly thing.
Bill: These are kind of stuff happens everyone.
Bill: What is in Germany good and what's wrong? Oh, ok. Tom… (Laughing)
Tom: Me? What is really amazing in Germany is Magdeburg, that is really nice city. I think where were really good club in Magdeburg, you can go to «Factory», that is really good club. What is else good in Magdeburg? Oh, in Germany?
Georg: I don't know, what is really good in Germany that you can drive fast cars…
Tom: That is right.
Bill: The best thing. That is best thing ever, I think it's not in any other countries, alright?
Tom: No.
Georg: No, this is only in Germany left.
Bill: That is a lot of fun. Only in German autobahn you can drive as fast as you want.
Tom: What is not good is, for example, I mean, if you are not good looking guy like Georg, it is really hard to get woman. You know, you have to pay a lot of money, it is really expensive. That is maybe bad thing in Germany, prostitutes are very expensive.
Bill: (Looking on Gustav's question) I know.
Gustav: What song will be played on your funeral?
All: Oh.
Tom: That is good question.
Bill: That is good question. I have like a playlist, you know, for my funeral, it's like, you know, I'll have kind of compilation with a lot of different stuff, because you can change it as you want. So definitely «Tokio Hotel» because you know that is our big love of our life.
Georg: Which songs?
Bill: It is really hard. I think…
Georg: «Don't Jump».
Bill: Yea, «Don't Jump». I think…
Tom: Maybe, «Ready, Set, Go» would be good song.
Georg:: «Human Connect to Human».
Bill: Or «Rescue Me». I mean it will be too late, but… No, at the moment…Tom and me…
Tom: «Live Every Second» (Laughing)
Bill: What? «Live Every Second» (All are laughing)
Bill: No, I think «Anthony Hammond», he is a great musician that I love him as a singer. And another song from my childhood would be «Magic Dance» from David Bowie, this is kind of fun song, he did for «Labirint» which was my childhood movie.
Tom: Yea. Person who did change my life? I'll answer this question! Georg has changed it, but it's for the best! I met him 10-11 years ago and happened…
Bill: Haircut!
Tom: Exactly!
Georg: Tell some fact about person sitting right (that surprise fans).
Bill: To Tom.
Georg: Tell something that the fans don't know about you.
Tom: No, you have to tell about me.
Georg: I tell something about you. Oh, ok. (Tom is laughing) Mmm…
Tom: Tom's new piercing.
Georg: That's maybe the most important thing which happend the last month.
Tom: I have a new piercing.
Bill: Oh, what should be written on your gravestone? Tom…
Tom: On my gravestone – «A psalm a day keeps the doctor away.» (Laughing)
Bill: Awesome. (Laughing)
Gustav: Tell something bad about the person sitting right.
Bill: Tell something bad.
Tom: About what?
Bill: About me.
Georg: Something bad about you.
Gustav: There are not bad things to tell about Bill. He is just perfect.
Tom: He is silly. He left his brain. It's cool.
Bill: Yea.

Billboard: Ok. Yea, Tom. I think, that is good question.
Tom: This is a good question? (Reading and laughing). That is good for Georg, right? You were sitting on the toilet and paper is missing what do you do?
Georg: I always take paper with me.
Tom: Georg, I mean, when we were on holidays and he made a big business in the water.
Georg: What? (Georg is laughing)
Tom: At the beach, there were a lot of stones. And it was like a stone beach and he took some stones.
Georg: What nickname did you have at school? Bill.
Bill: «Hobbit». His nickname.
Georg: I asked your nickname.
Bill: I seriously never had a nickname.
Georg: What? Your nickname was…Tom, oh Bill, you wanna tell your nickname was.
Bill: Which nickname do you mean? Maybe, you had a nickname for me. But seriously I had no nickname for me. I just think that my name was short enough. I was just only called: Bill.
Tom: Everyone were like: «Hey, where is a loser? Hey Tom, where is your loser-brother?»
Georg: Actually, you have to know: Bill is nickname, his name is William. (Laughing)
Bill: Oh, if I could destroy one of bad thing in the world it will be…
Tom: What's? Bad?
Bill: Bad thing. I think, you know for me and especially to Tom and me, I think. We love animals so much. Tom and me, we are vegetarian and we never wear fur. I think, the world should take more care of our animals we have. The last time when were in Africa, and we heard that animals die out because of human’s activities. I would say: «We should take more care of our animals.» That will be something really important to me, yea.
Gustav: Georg, choose your female name for yourself.
Bill: «Jacqueline» would be very, very nice.
Georg: I think that will be great.
Tom: «Ingeborg» (Laughing)
Gustav: I don't know perfectly.
Bill: I think «Georgina».
Tom: Cool!
Georg: «Georgina». Yes, «Georgina» is a good name.
Tom: Ok. Is is right that Germany is famous because of its cars, football and porno?
Georg: Porno? I think that is not good job.
Tom: Porno. I viewed some short porno films for you.
Georg: Yea, but…that is not good.
Tom: I mean that some famous videos of George and to see at Euporn.
Tom: Cars, yes. There are beautiful cars in Germany.
Bill: Tom and me, we are driving «Audi», so…
Tom: I have «A8».
Bill: I drive «Q7» a new one, which is beautiful.
Georg: What will you do if you become invisible?
Tom: Mmm, I always said that I would go at the show of Jessica Alba, she has a child now. So…
Georg: Isn't she impregnated again?
Tom: She is impregnated again, yea. It's not my child, but…
Georg: Are you sure?
Tom: Yes, and I'm very upset.
Georg: Maybe, I would go to bank and get me some money.
Tom: Some money? But you have enough money.
Georg: Yea, that's right. (Laughing)
Bill: I would like to play tricks to the people. Like, you know, taking someone clothes off.
Georg: I don't think that is funny.
Bill: I love all the staff, you know, have this on the cameras and I love those shows.
Tom: I would hit Georg the whole day.
Bill: And that will be fun.
Georg: That is great idea.

Interview with Tokio Hotel - “Comeback!” - BRAVO #13/2011 [Russia]

Finally it happened! Tokio Hotel arrived in Moscow to the Muz-TV Awards! BRAVO met the band and learned a lot of interesting details about their life.
BRAVO’s editor Liza has interviewed the guys at Olympiysky a few minutes before the Muz-TV Awards.

Bravo: There was really huge crowd of fans in front of the hotel. They came to see you, but suddenly one security came out and said, that you had asked the girls not to scream.
*All of them are laughing*
Georg and Tom: Whaaat?!
Bill: Whoa! We never said that! On the contrary we love so much our fans to greet us with happy cries! Next time, when you hear something like that, you should tell us, we will kick him out immediately!

Bravo: Bravo: Oh, thanks God! Did you take your dogs to Moscow again?
Bill: No, unfortunately we didn’t… They stayed at home. Last year we took two our big dogs (German short-haired and Labrador) on tour with us. But we’re not going to stay in Moscow for that long, so we decided not to make dogs nervous. Flight is a huge stress for them. If I could change the rules, I’d let animals travel on board the plane. During the tour when we traveled by bus the dog slept with me in my bed.

Bravo: Bill, the video where you appeared with beard made some buzz in the Net. Was it real beard?
Tom: Nope! It’s postproduction! It was painted on the computer later. *All of them are laughing*
Bill: May be you’ll be surprised, but my beard grows too. I didn’t expect my 3-days bristle would make such ballyhoo. The camera was not so good and I thought no one would notice it. Actually at home I’m always unshaven. And I shave if I have to go out.

Bravo: You also dressed up today… You have a hood with fur. But it’s 25C degrees in Moscow!
Bill: Yes, I didn‘t know, that it’s so hot here!
Tom: Btw, I have to draw your attention that it’s not real fur! And we are vegetarians actually.

Bravo: Cool! Bill, have you and your brother already made a twin-tattoo that you have planned?
Bill: Tom can’t finally make up his mind to do it! He is afraid of tattoos.
Tom: I’ve already made painful piercings, but tattoos… it’s kind of scary. Why do I have to cover my beautiful body with tattoos? *Bill is laughing* I think, it would be suitable for Bill if he would tattoo all his body including face. It’s a pity if I make it on my beautiful face.

Bravo: But if you finally decide to make it, what would it be?
Bill: A little message understandable for two of us only somewhere no one could see.

Bravo: Bill, Adam Lambert talks about you in each interview. What if he calls you and invites you to the restaurant?
Bill: I don’t know him, and he doesn’t know my phone number! So, he seems not to be fated to dine with me *looks cunning*

Bravo: I‘ve found something in the Internet! There is such thing as twincest. It’s twins who are in love with each other and so on…
*Guys look really puzzled?*
Tom: Ehmmmm… Are there twins who in LOVE WITH EACH OTHER?
Bill: Twin-cest?

Bravo: Yes, some people even draw you in different poses…
Bill: Me and Tom?!
Tom: What a bullshit? Is it legal, actually? *laughs*
Bill: Maybe this people are insane.
Tom: Sorry, but I don‘t want to have something in common with this people. *all laughing*

Bravo: Yes, there is a lot of people with insane fantasy. But what was the last case when you met inadequate people?
Bill: The last terrible case was when someone broke into our house in Germany. Because of this we have moved to the USA and now we’re living in LA. It’s too hard to live in Europe. Some people are just going crazy. They have kind of mania. They can do everything! May be there are those crazy ones among them who make twincest. *laughing* One day we understood, that we have to stay under security’s control all the time. Such life became unbearable…

Bravo: What are you doing in LA?
Bill: We’re working on our new album. On weekends I swim in the pool the whole day and have fun in amusement park. Tom and me are obsessed with it. Btw, we celebrated our 20th Birthday in amusement park, but it was in Germany.
Tom: I like jet-ski and quadrocycles. I like everything with engine! In LA we also like the fact that we can go to the supermarket and buy yoghurt, rent a car.
Georg: Make an intimate haircut in salon… *Everyone laughing*
Bill: Besides it’s cool that all supermarkets in the USA are opened round-the-clock!
Tom: But we live a bit distantly even there. We can’t be free for 100%. Most of the time we’re staying at home.

Quotes:
“It’s a pity, that we can’t take our dogs with us”
“Since our house was robbed, we can’t live in Europe anymore”

Under the pics:
1 – Bill knows only one song in Russian – “Kalinka”( guelder-rose XD)
2 –The fans were waiting for their favorite band during 48 hours!
3 – Bill was walking in warm hood in Moscow
4 – Guys signed autographs in front of the Ritz-Carlton Hotel
5 – Musicians were happy to be in Moscow again.
6 – While fans were waiting, Tom was making his cornrows.
7 – Tom gave advice to Bill: tattoo all his face.
8 – Georg made fun of Tom all the time

Interview with Bill Kaulitz - Press Conference - Moscow, Russia [03.06.2011]

At first, Bill told the reporters at the press conference:
"We took a small break but we're surprised that so many Russian fans are waiting for us."

Do you know some Russian songs?
Bill: 'Kalinka Malinka'? No, we don't know any Russian songs but we promise that we'll learn one.

What do you think of your fans that are copying your style?
Bill: Never even thought or dreamt about it. Now I can't stop surprising. It's a big honor for me. The other day, I saw girls that looked like me. It was weird.

You live in the U.S. now. What do you miss of your country?
Bill: We feel completely different in LA. We can go to a supermarket and buy our favourite yogurt, we couldn't do that in Germany, there always were lots of fans around.

Interview with Tokio Hotel - Muz TV Online Conference [Russia 2011]

TOKIO HOTEL ANSWER YOUR QUESTIONS!

The fans had the opportunity to ask questions to Tokio Hotel, MuzTV has published the questions and answers of the Online Conference today.

1. Bill, can you grow your hair long again?
Bill: Why not? I don't really plan my hairstyle, so that might happen.

2. What is the maximum sum you've spent for charity?
Bill: I hate it when people talk about how much money they've spend just for getting some nice press. All four of us definitely spend a lot of money on charity but we would never talk about any amount!

3. So, you've sung Monsun o koete in Japanese, what about Russian?
Bill: Gustav knows a couple of Russian words and phrases, may be we let him perform a Russian Monsoon version?

4. Can you imagine HOW MUCH you are loved and awaited in Russia in general?
Bill: Yes we can, within the last couple of month we received thousands of emails, comments and letters by our Russian fans, that was pretty impressive. Thanks for that!!! We cant wait to come over…

5. Georg, do you know that many fans call you Rapunzel?
Georg: Haha, no that's the first time I heard of this.
Tom: But I love... - I think we all love it!!! What a perfect description!

6. Have you seen all the actions that were arranged by Russian fans to get your concert in Russia?
Tom: We saw all comments, emails and letters and that's why we are back. It was really touching us and we can feel the endless support!

7. Gustav, do you remember anything from your Russian language lessons at school?
Gustav: Sure! I still know some phrases. Our trip to Moscow is a great opportunity to refresh some of it!

8. Tom, do you know that fur cap with ear flaps (or ushanka cap) is a national Russian piece of clothes?
Tom: I didn't know that, but I'll wear mine now more often I love them!

9. Do you like your passport photos?
Georg: German passport photos have to stick to certain regulations such as no smiling and a certain positioning of your head. They always look awful.
Tom: No, mine looks great!
Gustav: Yeah, mine too!
Bill: Yes, mine as well… maybe it's just you Georch!

10. Many people say that Russian girls are the most beautiful, what's your opinion?
Tom: Let me put it like this, I can't wait to spend another night in Russia!

11. Tom, is it you who post in blog on tokiohotel.com?
Tom: Sure, check it out if you have a minute.

12. When was the last time you had sex?
Tom: Would be easier figure out the last time when I didn't had sex

13. Do your former classmates try to contact with you somehow?
Georg: Some of our former classmates are still our best friends, so yes.

14. You've shooted a couple of commercials with Alice Cooper, what impression did he make?
Bill: Working with Cooper was really fun, we had a great time and he is a nice guy!

15. You travel a lot and now you've left your home country Germany and moved to USA. Do you often call your parents?
Tom: Our family means the world to us, we are really close and speak every day.

16. 1) According to pessimists everything goes in a circle in life.
2) According to optimists everything goes by spiral, dreamers think all goes by a straight line. How is it in your life?
Tom: Unfortunately I must say that I'm more the pessimist in almost every situation. But Georch is the big dreamer in the band
3) If you were 4 simple guys and were huge fans of some artist, and you wanted to attract his/her attention, what would you do?
Tom: Bill knows, as he was a huge fan as a child.
Bill: Right, I know how it is to wait in line for hours to get the best seats at a show and all that stuff, so I really appreciate all the fandom and know exactly how fans feel.
Tom: And Georg still knows how that feels. He's a huge fan of mine. He always trys to get my attention by running around naked whenever he can. And it works every once in a while

17. What thing would you make as the 8th world wonder? You travel a lot, may be you've seen something interesting that struck and inspired you?
Tom: Hm, that's hard to tell. Recently we had the chance to see the Maya pyramids in mexico. That was really impressive! But the world as itself and life on earth is the biggest wonder to me!

18. Gustav, you make an impression of a highly professional and strongest musician in the band, a heir of Lars Ulrich. Besides you legs in your shorts excite many girls' hearts! How do you see the musical development of the band? What perspectives you have?
Gustav: Not only the lovely Russian girls might get exited, I also wear the shorts especially for Georg When it comes to our future plans, we don't really stick to a certain strategy, it's all about the momentum and the inspiration.

19. What is David Bowie for you, Bill?
Bill: As a child I watched Bowies Movie "Labyrith" a trillion times. That's where I first noticed him and his work. He's an Icon!

20. Bill, you're one of the brightest frontmen and artists on today's stage. Tell me, when are you going to stop being shy and finally try to conquer the whole world?
Bill: With Tokio Hotel we are already travelling around the world. Where ever our fans ask us to play a show we try to go at least once. But we still can't get enough. A huge world tour is our next goal!

21. Many artists like Dero from Oomph! use internet blogs to keep in touch with their fans, reveal their ideas and thoughts there, life and philosophical views, share their opinions about religion and world and other important things. Tom, how do all the things that are published in your blog reflect your inner world?
Tom: I use my blog to share cool stuff and my personal opinion on more serious topics such as animal welfare. In general the blog is a fun thing for me. I share stuff that interests me and things I found on the internet that I just like.

22. 1) Bill, you say you want to control everything. And what if someone controls you?
Bill: I don't want to control people I want to be in charge of my own music, videos, and artworks. Already as a child I hated authorities and they hated me.
2) Are there any clothes that when you see them you'll never put them on and you'll say it's too much for you?
Bill: There is a lot. But, for example: short pants and real fur.
Tom: More the second one. You live just once and I want to try everything I can. Faults always happen... not often to me, but they happen

23. Humanoid City Tour became a great step in your professional and musical growth. What is it for you – this album and tour? Has Russia any opportunity to see Humanoid City Tour live?
Tom: We are really happy to have the chance to perform at least a few songs for our Russian fans now. And we are going to include Russia in any future touring, we always had a great time here!

24. Bill, during signing sessions you just sign something and say few words to your fans. But sometimes you raise your eyes and look at them. What do you see in their eyes at those moments I wonder? I remember, you said you all like eyes Georg, there are rumors you have relations?
Bill: We love signing sessions. It's a great way to get in touch with your fans and understand their thoughts and feelings. I have the chance to see their real emotions and that's what is really important to me! In that moments all the negative things are blown away and I can feel their love!
Georg: Fortunately that's not a legend, I have a girlfriend
